
Delta Corporation Gives Tose Respite Care Home a Lifeline
Delta Corporation has today officially handed over items worth over ZW$500,000 to resuscitate a much needed poultry project at Tose Respite Care Home in Prospect, Harare. The items donated to the Centre include 310 points of laying chickens, 23 x 50kg layer 95 and 7 stress mix that will help the centre provide its residents with the much- required source of protein and revenue.
“The donation will assist take care of our community members who have learning disabilities. The poultry project will provide the much-needed protein for all at the care home as well as revenue for other essential needs,” said Patricia Murambinda, General Manager, Corporate Affairs at Delta Corporation.
The donation is coming in, to support Tose Respite Care Center a care home that provides Life-Saving Care and A Loving Home with an aim of providing a service of care and relief to people with learning disabilities.
“This is a fulfilment of our burning desire to support the communities we operate in,” added Patricia.
TOSE aims to improve the lives of severely disabled people and their families or carers, assisting clients to achieve all that they can, particularly those with multiple disabilities. TOSE is run by local Zimbabwean people for local people and aims to change attitudes of communities to disability. TOSE is not a permanent rehabilitation centre but provides individual rehabilitation programmes for up to 48 clients.
